Rooibos dated back to the 17th century, with a rich history over time.
At the Old Gaol Museum you can have a look at the history of the 7th oldest town in South Africa. The interesting Rooibos room will grab your attention for sure. From long ago packaging boxes of rooibostea, the rooibos samples of Benjamin Ginsberg and the first tools they used in harvesting and packing of rooibostea, you'll find in this room.
